Guided Reading Goals

If you are anything like me, goal setting during guided reading can be somewhat of a struggle.  I’m always asking myself these questions

How should I keep track goals?

What should I use as a reminder for students?

Thanks to Allie, Cody and Fran...I have finally come up with a solution!

During guided reading students will be given a goal-setting bookmark.  I will introduce the skill and highlight a focus goal for the week.   These bookmarks will be kept with their book bag until our next guided reading lesson (my kiddos have to pay a teacher buck if they loose theirs).

There it iseasy peesy lemon squeezy!

  1. Great post! Very helpful insights on setting clear goals. Recently, I was researching pest issues and came across dead bed bug shells
    – it’s surprising how these tiny signs can indicate a bigger infestation. Thanks for sharing such useful content!
