A New Room, A New Challenge…

I moved classrooms this year.  My co-worker and I are going to co-teach our 1st grade classes.  I'm super excited about all of the possibilities!  We plan to ability group our math and reading, which will be soo much better for our kiddos!

Anyway, that is what prompted my room, we both moved to rooms that could open.  This is my new room…

I absolutely love it, especially because it is BIG!  See that ugly green and yellow board?  Well, I was determined to do something with that.  Here is what I came up with...

For my boards, I used Elmer's craft bond adhesive that is removable and glued some fabric on.  Then, I used Rubber Cement for the boarder.  So far it hasn't fallen down, fingers crossed!

And now for my favorite board...drum roll, please!

Pink AND Chevron, it doesn't get much better than that!

This will be my second year at this school, so moving all my stuff isn’t so bad. However, this will be my fourth classroom AND my fourth year teaching.  Fingers crossed that I won’t have to move next year! :0)

I worked up a little Pinterest inspired Freebie this morning and checked one thing off my summer to do list.  Last year my kiddos were ALWAYS rushing through their work.  I'm tired of saying slow down, do your best work, take you time, blah blah blah.

Go check out my tpt store for the free download!
