I'm linking up with Deidre form A Burst of First for Sunday Funday!
I would like to tell you that I had a fabulous week and my cherubs were wonderful...BUT it wasn't. In fact, they were crazy. Not all of them, but kiddos who haven't struggled behaviorally since the beginning of the year reverted back to their old ways. I'm also getting my masters and I had a TON of work to do on that, on top of report cards. I have never been so thankful for the weekend, but enough whining from me!
Despite all of the drama this week, we did get some things accomplished! I send my kiddos data notebooks home with them every nine weeks with their report cards.
My kiddos are responsible for holding a conference with their parents. They help their child make goals for the next nine weeks. This gives the parents and students some responsibility.
My kiddos begged for gumball math quizzes, too. I usually give them Thursday afternoon, but we ran out of time. I love, love, love that they BEG for a math quiz, lol. Every child is on their own level, some are on addition and some have moved on to subtraction. Ohh what 1st graders will do for a piece of gum!
My best friend from Teaching with a Smile came out for a visit yesterday, we went to the Beef House for a fantastic lunch and time to catch up.
I spent the rest of my Saturday night watching the old seasons of Dallas with my hubby and working on a little guided reading pack. I'm always searching for easy activities to work on with my kiddos during guided reading. It is also hard for me to keep track of 1,000 little pieces! I'm working on some simple activities that my kiddos will love.
That's it for my Sunday Funday-I'm off to church with my hubby!
What a fun filled week, Whitney! Thanks so much for linking up with us for Sunday Funday! Hope you have a fabulous week!
