Animal Hair

We are currently learning about different animal traits. When I ran across the book, “What if You Had Animal
Hair?” my teacher heart did a little
thump. I knew that my kiddos would fall
in love with this book AND they did! J
After we read the book, I pulled all of my animal books and let them do a little research and decide what animal hair they would like to have.
Once they chose an animal, they wrote one reason why they would like to have that animal's hair and one fact about the animal.
I put out a tub of scrap paper then let them create their animal hair.
